2017 “The Year in Pictures”

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Taking a page (or cover) from the venerable Life magazine, whose title I have co-opted above, I’m going to look back via Instagram at some memorable moments of 2017. If you follow PrivateNewport on this social app you might see some favorites. It is also exciting because we are about to hit a major milestone — 20,000 followers! A number that seemed stratospheric, and near impossible to me when I started three years ago.

My heartfelt thanks go to this community of friends, many of them virtual, who have helped bring Private Newport to this point in its young career. My goal is to meet as many of you as possible and extend my appreciation in person. Until then, warmest wishes for a glorious New Year…may all your dreams come true.

And as we head into 2018, let us take a page from Iris Apfel’s book. At 96, she is still going strong, with her live show on the  Home Shopping Network, photo shoots for sundry products, travels to foreign destinations and a vibrant interest in any and everything that’s “happen’. ” With that inspiration, my goal for the New Year? Embrace all the endless possibilities available to each and every one of us!! How about you?

  1. Great Photos. I have lived in the area my whole life and Newport has been a frequent destination since early childhood by car or boat.
