Among the Daffodils…the Parterre Bench

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Given the response to last spring’s blog on my friend Alison and Steve Walk’s property up island, we started planning ahead to truly celebrate their daffodil display this year!

Mintwater Cottage has been described by Rhode Island Monthly magazine as “one of the most magical homes in Rhode Island.” Look at these images and I think you’ll agree (it just also happens to be for sale by Lila Delman, as the Walk’s are moving to the Eastern Shore of Maryland).

The brook separates the house side of the property from the woodland area accessed by  a wide stone bridge.

Of course, the Parterre Bench had to partake in the festivities, acting as the centerpiece amongst the swaying daffodils, along the burbling brook. Honestly, is this not the most picturesque setting?

Hope your daffodil season brought you as much pleasure as did ours.
