Happy New Year!

As this old year ends (and not too soon) this post gives me the chance to once again marvel at what pictures can mean to us…2020 definitely assured those of us who shared and you who enjoyed them, that indeed, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Those thousand words came in the form of a welcome escape, whether recalling past fond memories, a special destination, a breathtaking catch of the natural world, the unmitigated joy in a child’s face.

Here are the 15 from 2020 that were your favorites on both my Private Newport blog and Instagram posts. Despite all that besieged us this closing year, and which defied putting into words, we could take solace in the images that required no words…just a few moments of our time.
