Newport in the Snow

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

What is possibly more beautiful than a Newport home in the summer? A Newport home enrobed in snow! Each year, about this time, a welcome sighting of snowflakes comes along and changes the landscape of our island (though the amount and frequency has been much less than past years).
Since most of you will probably not be around in the winter, I’m bringing the images to you in a 2019 version of a popular blog offering.

To add to your viewing pleasure, I love to include the “before & afters,” side by side. The differences can be quite compelling…

Pray for more snow…our gardens need this beautiful blanket to protect and water them.

  1. Newport looks amazing in ANY season! I love snow and the way everything seems to stand out against our rolling terrain, Several weeks ago, I was out shooting some images of our pretty countryside. It was a perfect bright, sunny day. Got shots of a red covered bridge, a herd of deer, a creek with rushing waterfall, and lovely historic homes–a very memorable day, indeed. Thanks for sharing your lovely part of the world, Bettie.

    1. Thank you, Bobbi. Do you post your images anyplace? Instagram, for example, is such a beautiful medium. Let me know!
