We’re feeling in a very celebratory mood here at Parterre! It was twenty years ago this weekend that we moved into our new home, Parterre…

And twelve years ago that the Parterre Bench took up residence in the Winter Garden, paired with six Versailles boxes.

This “iconic garden accessory” is so much a part of our daily lives that I can’t imagine the garden without it! Just the view from our library has assured me that following my dream of creating this Bench was a good idea.

My sentiment, which relates to both our house and the Parterre Bench? To dream is to imagine, To imagine is to visualize, To visualize is to realize. Truly, we are only limited by our imagination.

At the same time, something exciting has also been happening in the Internet world…captivating videos are now easy to create and post on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest (to name a few). It’s shaking up the wonderful world of social media. What fun to be able to create one’s own very short “movies.” Ours featuring the Parterre Bench debuted on Sunday, June 2nd!
