The Royce, a New Hotel Concept

Life‘s special moments are a reason to come together! For a town that celebrates for so many reasons, and in so many ways, a timely hospitality concept has just opened in Newport, The Royce, comprising two historic colonial homes, gracing a beloved, quiet tree-lined Street on Historic Hill.

Unlike traditional hotels, full-property bookings are prioritized, where families and friends can come together in a space that feels more like stepping into a private, design-forward townhome with an ambiance that blends Newport’s rich heritage with contemporary luxury.

The Royce offers a suite of elevated services, with staff, that can be arranged upon request, each tailored to the guests’ needs (to include private chefs, housekeeping, spa treatments, and concierge-style assistance). This exclusivity assures that every stay is private, unhurried, and infused with comfort, as one would expect from a well-kept secret getaway.

Each suite within the collection is uniquely designed, with high-end furnishings, bespoke wallpaper, and divinely comfortable beds

and en-suite bathrooms featuring distinct tilework, luxury fixtures, and warm, residential detailing. The result is an atmosphere that feels like a sophisticated home away from home.

Inside each house, the kitchen, butler’s pantry, dining room, and formal living spaces offer a flow that feels designed for elegant celebration or quiet retreat. There is nothing that hasn’t been considered!

Additionally, the two restored historic homes face a very generous-sized, bluestone courtyard with comfortable seating, lantern light, and two fire pits, creating a natural gathering place. It’s become a favorite backdrop for rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and curated soirées.

Whether reserved for a family retreat, a long-weekend escape, or an intimate wedding party,

the Royce Newport stands apart. Its unmatched downtown location allows guests a short walk to the center of life in Newport – Bannisters and Bowens Wharf – where food divine can be yours as well as dancing the night away… and yet you can return home in minutes to complete peace and privacy.

This new jewel on the Newport hospitality scene will not be a well-kept secret for long. Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration or a grand event, The Royce promises an experience steeped in charm and luxury.

  1. LOVELY LADY,
A REPLY FROM AN 80 YEAR OLD, SLIGHTLY ‘JADED’ UES (UPPER EAST SIDER)!
THE CONCEPT, THE TASTE, THE STYLE – ARE ALL REFLECTIONS OF WHAT …
THE NEWPORT’S GILDED AGE … WAS ALL ABOUT!
I ESPECIALLY LOVE THE ‘KITCHEN/PANTRY SHOT; FOR AS YOU MIGHT RECALL, I WAS ONCE: 4TH FOOTMAN (JR. BUTLER) @ ‘MAR-A-LAGO FOR MRS. POST (c. 1967).
I TRULY BELIEVE, SPENDING A LONG WEEKEND (THURS. – MON.) @ THE ROYCE,
WOULD PROVE TO: BOTH RECHARGE ONES SOUL & BE A CHERISHED MEMORY.
